Prajna Classes at HTVA

The Hindu Temple of Virginia (HTVA) is collaborating with JET Washington DC to offer structured weekly Prajna classes during the academic year inside the temple premises.

Program Details

Only Prajna Module 1 classes are offered at HTVA location in 2026

• Module 1: Core values, Prayers & Vedic Traditions, Festivals
• Text books, workbooks are included in the onetime annual payment
• Module 1: Designed for children ages 5+
• Classes will begin August 2026 and end when school academic year ends
• Sessions will be held weekly on Saturday or Sunday
• Fee: $350 one-time annual payment
• Duration: 2 hours. (1.5 hours Teaching session and 0.5 hours Yoga session)
• Location: Hindu Temple of Virginia, Sterling VA

These classes are designed to introduce children to the timeless wisdom of Sanātana Dharma, including teachings from the Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, and inspiring stories of great Rishis and spiritual leaders who serve as role models for holistic development.

Students will learn:

• Meditation and mindfulness
• Slokas and its meaning
• Yoga and healthy practices
• Values and character development
• Inspiring stories from our scriptures and traditions
• Hindu festivals and cultural traditions

All sessions are conducted in a divine, safe, and supervised environment within the temple.

Our teachers are trained volunteer educators who are passionate about passing on Vedic knowledge and cultural traditions to the next generation.
